To better reflect our K-12 organization, we have purchased the EasternMennoniteSchool.org domain. From now on, email addresses will be published using the new domain name, including in print publications, on business cards, and on the website. However, your Outlook settings are configured to send email FROM your emhs.net address. If you use the web-based email, that is also configured by default to send email FROM your emhs.net address. Here's how to change these settings:
Changing Outlook settings:
From the Tools menu, select Email Accounts
Click the Change button
Under User Information change Email Address to use easternemennoniteschool.org instead of emhs.net
Click the More Settings button
In the Reply Email field, enter your email address, using easternmennoniteschool.org instead of emhs.net
Click Ok, then Next, then Finish to save your changes.
Changing Google Mail settings:
Go to http://email.emhs.net
If prompted, login with your email name (just what comes before the @ sign) and your email password
Click the Settings link in the upper-right corner of the page
Click the Accounts tab
In the list of email addresses, look for [your email name]@easternmennoniteschool.org.
If that address does not appear in the list, click the Add another email address you own link. (If the email does appear in the list, skip to the very last step)
Enter [your email name]@easternmennoniteschool.org in the email address field and click Next Step
Click the Send Verification button
In your Google email window, click the All Mail label on the left side of the screen (you might have to click a label that says "more" in order to view the All Mail label)
Open the email with the subject "Eastern Mennonite School Confirmation" (it should be at or near the top of the list). Click the link In that email that appears below a paragraph that ends with "...please click the link below to confirm your request:"
Click the link to "return to your Gmail account"
Click the Settings link in the upper-right corner of the page
Click the Accounts tab
Click the Make Default link next to your @easternmennoniteschool.org email address
Please note that if you have a signature that you attach to the bottom of your email messages, make sure you update your email address, as well as our website address.
