Your phone has a number of buttons above and possibly beside the numeric dial pad. These are called One-Touch Keys, which can be programmed to speed-dial outside phone numbers or to quickly access internal phone extensions. If programmed to quickly access internal phone extensions, the button will also light up when that extension is in use, quickly giving an indication of who is on the phone.
To program One-Touch Keys to speed-dial outside phone numbers:
While the phone is hung up, press the Feature button, then the Redial button
Press the key you would like to program. (NOTE: the top row of one-touch keys are reserved, and cannot be programmed!)
Dial 0, 9, then the phone number you want to speed-dial. (If it is a long-distance number, dial 1 and the area code, then the number).
Press the Feature button to store your programmed button.
To program quick access to an internal extension:
While the phone is hung up, press the Feature button, then the Redial button
Press the key you would like to program. (NOTE: the top row of One-Touch Keys are reserved, and cannot be programmed!)
Dial 1, then the extension you want to assign to that One-Touch Key
Press the Feature button to store your programmed button.
